By any chance do you accept or have financing options for these? I've been looking for something that is small enough for my small suv; but isnt all that complicated either. I practically grew up in popup campers; so something like this is right up my alley. These are by far some of the best mini trailers I've found, and as a Pennsylvania native I want to support a Pennsylvania business if possible.

When breaking down to get back on the road, does the add a room and awning need to be removed from the rest of the tent, or can they be folded in and stowed for ease of setup?

Good joint, not necessarily the best alternative, imagine your bike breaking down, your buddies or a friendly Samaritan comes tour aid, unless they have the same hitch, your still stuck....go for the swivel ‘normal’ hitch....much better in times of need, either you can help out your biker friends or indeed a car or truck driver can help you....

Got an email from Kompact Kamp today my mini mate is on the way. Also Sheldon called me personally to make sure I had a trailer large enough to go pick up the crate at the FedEx terminal. I chose the ship to terminal option. Cause they’d never get a big truck back into my woods. My road is, for lack of a better term. Sketchy. Thank you. Tom

Why not have the skirting cover the other side of the trailer? I would think this being open gives a path for mosquitoes to get in easily.

My bike...5 years later and 72,000 later still cruising around the USA with my mini-mate...I have changed the bearings every couple of years as I do a lot of high way miles....Love the mini-mate....its the perfect camper for the spyder.

I wish you all would paint the trailer. Very boring white look. Even just black gloss finish wood be better. I do love the camper though. I may have to save up and purchase one.

Too much work! I’d rather have a teardrop trailer! They used to make them to be towed by motorcycles! Build your own, there was an article in Poplar Mechanics magazine back in the day!

I am finding the motorcycle trailer plug world to be a wild west of all sorts of different plugs. But you have made a very compelling argument for using a flat 5, rather than a round 4, a round 5, a 5 or 6 rectangle plug etc. With a flat 5 on my trailer, my trailer would not need a new plug to be towed by a friend with a flat 4 plug, or a small car with a flat 4 plug. I think this is the answer I was after.

I got mine in March of this year and I have camped 18 times this summer including a trip to Missouri (from South Dakota). It tows great and sets up fast. Every detail seems to have been meticulously considered. One night I camped through a severe thunderstorm and it held up great with not the slightest of a leak. i cannot say enough good about this camper. It has been a game changer for my motorcycle camping experience. I absolutely love it! I would also add that the staff that builds it for you are super helpful. I have called on several occasions and gotten immediate help or advice with what I was dealing with. If you are researching motorcycle campers look no further.

Just bought a 1998 Kompact Kamp yesterday. The fiberglass body and canvas still look new. I have never towed anything before. The hour drive home was a breeze. I can't wait to try it out!!

Look at tiny tires. Bet they blow up on road due to heat. Good way to die. Or ragdoll.

Make sure you put red Loctite on that large nut…. As it will vibrate and come off and hurt your feelings. Take my word for it.

What size bike to pull camper

I pull a Runaway Cool Camp with my 2016 Mazda Miata. Because it’s much taller than my car it creates a lot of drag reducing my mileage sometimes as low as 20mpg when I normally get 35mpg or a little more. Have you checked how the Mini Mate effects fuel mileage on a small low car like mine? I know it’s a lot lighter which is a huge plus but what is the height of the Mini Mate while being towed?

How much weight can you store on top?
